WCS&WMS Convergence Architecture
With the continuous popularization of OPC UA communication protocol, the possibility of BS-based WCS and SCS systems has been provided. Through the continuous efforts of the company's R&D department, the company has overcome a number of technical problems, and finally achieved the overall upgrading of the company's technical framework. The WCS and SCS systems have been integrated into the WMS framework, from the original fat client to the light client.
During the implementation of the project, MODBUS is integrated into the framework, which is perfectly compatible with low-version PLC and other IOT devices.
(1) Reduce the performance requirements of client equipment: As long as the customer's existing computer is connected to the warehouse intranet, the system can be accessed through the web page to reduce repeated investment.
(2) No standby machine is required: traditional WCS needs to be installed independently. In order to prevent the failure of the computer causing the failure of the vertical library, the one-in-one standby scheme will be adopted. When the host system fails, the standby machine will be replaced immediately; However, there is a risk that the standby machine will not start up for a long time. After WCS is integrated into the server, there is no need to prepare a client backup machine. The failure of any client will not affect the operation of the system and equipment.
(3) Reduce the burden of PLC: When multiple traditional WCS systems are deployed, they will access the PLC at the same time, read and write data, and increase the burden of PLC. After the integration of WCS system, the PLC is uniformly accessed by the server. The client only needs to access the server web page, instead of directly connecting to the PLC, reducing the burden on the PLC.
